Wow it was a bit surreal having my own artist booth at an event after so many years of saying I’d take the leap!!
It was super encouraging and fun to talk to so many great artists, I wish I was able to walk around and talk to more!!!
This is something I’ve been wanting to do since I attended my first Fan Expo in 2017. Being able to share my art and be able to geek out with others with fanart , it’s just such a fantastic experience!! I’m looking forward to attending future events!
Pros:
- Free for people to attend since it’s at the library!
- Great way to start vending in an Artist alley environment since it’s local and it had no table fees
- Lots of different artists compared to previous years since it’s in a larger location now!
Cons:
- Wished there was a little more advertising for it. I didn’t know applications were open until I actually went onto their website.
- Wished volunteers would come the booths to tell us there was lunch, my table mate and I totally forgot and we ended up having very cold pizza
