It’s hard to start habits, particularly good ones (i.e. studying everyday). It’s also hard keeping to a schedule that you set up for yourself at the beginning of the month, or week, or even for the day. Back in July I started this blog as a side thing for me to do on my spare time. Yet I’ve been on this site once or twice since then, editing my first post and the theme of this blog – never actually posting anything new.
I would mention how I was fairly active on my first blog, but that was back in high school, when everything was easier, less stressful and when I actually had time on my side. Yet time is not really an excuse for neglecting this project of mine. Yes, I am a uni student working a part-time job whilst trying to maintain a small social life, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time to make at least a small post on here.
It just comes down to this one fact about me: I fucking suck at managing my time. At the beginning of the year, I somewhat followed the schedule I made for myself every week, and it worked relatively well. I made it a habit to figure out what I was doing for that one week, and tried my best to follow it. Then it all fell apart late September, when I got lazy and left my agenda on my desk and didn’t pick it up until last night. I’ve come to realize that this agenda of mine is the only thing that keeps me on track of things, and keeps me motivated since checking things off a list of things to do is very rewarding.
We’ll see how it goes (again). I’ve set a goal of at least 1 post per week. Whether it be a personal thing or something related to science, or even about my progress on my video games, I’m going to post (hopefully lol).
